Found

I found this picture on my PC this week and realized how much I've gained in the past few years. This picture is from two years ago and I'm about 35 lbs lighter.

I still have this dress and I want to be able to wear it again. It's nice to be in a head space again where I am able to look at pictures and think about when I'll be back to that weight instead of being sent into a panic and using it as an excuse to binge and bring myself even further away from my goals.

What's been hard for me to deal with is not so much the weight as the difference in how my body looks and feels. I used to feel so strong, and now I look at my muscles and they're harder to find! The strength I had was what gave me confidence, even if I wasn't completely happy with the number on the scale. The shape of my arms, my legs, even my chest is totally different.

The weaker I get, the less I want to do strength training. A catch-22 there, because the less I do the worse it gets.

I'm going to update my goals for the week to include some weights!

  1. I checked awhile back to see if Netflicks had it but no luck :( This will be quick cause hubby is waiting on me to go to the store. Here is the link where I watch ally Mcbeal. I never watched it while it was on Regular TV and watched it a little when it was on the WB or maybe abc family a few years ago as a rerun. I'm all the time Getting into watching older but, cancelled shows. I will begin with season 1 and watching it til there isn't anything left to see lol...I guess I'm weird but, being a SAHM I get bored easily. Luckily I don't have a house full of kids to keep me busy now thats a different story all together lol

  3. I've gained about 20 pounds since I started work (in the past 2 years) and I really want to get back to where I was. I think it helps though, since we have pictures to help remind us how we could/should look like, don't you think? :)

I just started weight training recently too, and I love it. Been getting compliments from work although my weight has not really changed that much.

  6. Thanks ladies!

It's interesting how great I feel when I'm doing weight training and afterwards. And the effects are visible so quickly! But motivating myself to get back into it when I've been slack is always tough.
